| Chief Koester earned a criminal justice administration degree from Southwestern Christian University in Oklahoma City. He is a graduate of the 95th FBI National Academy and has attended many seminars and conferences pertaining to law enforcement and management with national and state affiliations. |

We protect the life and property by apprehending those who commit criminal actions, by developing partnerships to prevent, reduce, or eliminate neighborhood problems; and by providing police services that are fair, professional, and respectful of the dignity of all individuals. |

| The Piedmont Police Department consists of 11 officers and 6 reserve officers which provides 24 hour, 7 day a week coverage to the citizens of Piedmont, covering approximately 43 square miles.
